
SOFIA BORGES
Sofia Borges is a visual artist formed in 2008 from the University of São Paulo. Also in 2008, he was awarded four times and won a scholarship to the Incentive Research and Production by the Government of Pernambuco. Between 2009 and 2010, it held four solo exhibitions in Brazil, was selected by Itaú Cultural, received the Distinction Award da Bolsa Iberê Camargo, won the Award Port Photography Insurance and was one of the Brazilian nominations Paul Huf Award 2010 (Amsterdam, Netherlands ). In 2011, was invited to join the Photography Club of the Museum of Modern Art (São Paulo, SP), held three individual in Brazilian cities, as well as participating in important group exhibitions such as: The New Brazilian Photography (São Paulo) and I Me Many unfold in (Rio de Janeiro, RJ). In 2012, Sofia Borges was the youngest artist to participate in the 30th Bienal de São Paulo. In 2013, he was a finalist for the BES Photo Award (Portugal), was again one of the Brazilian Paul Huf Award nominations and won the prize of purchasing Photography Program São Paulo Cultural Center. That same year, presented exhibitions in Mexico City (Mexico), Oslo (Norway), Madrid (Spain), Paris (France), São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Lisbon (Portugal). In 2014 he exhibited in London (England), Los Angeles (USA), Lyon (France) and prepares exhibitions in Sao Paulo, Doha (Qatar) and Beijing (China).
