Eugenia Vargas is a multidisciplinary artist with a broad international experience in the performance, installation, video and photography. Their approach is based on gender, nature and popular culture. In his paper examines the media and advertising mechanisms that they use through the powerful seduction of the image creating new stereotypes in the representation of women. He has done installations and performances to rave about the water crisis and its impact on human and environmental degradation. He has participated in the Venice Biennale, Italy, 1992; Photography Biennial, Rotterdam, Holland, Venice Biennale, 2003, Centre Pompidou, Paris, France; Museum of Contemporary Art, Miami, Florida; Zendai MOMA, Shanghai, China; Museum of Modern Art, Mexico, Museum of Fine Arts, Caracas, InSite 94, San Diego, California. His works are in collections, such as the Ludwig Forum for International Art, Aachen, Germany, Museum of Santa Barbara, California, University Art Museum, California State University.
